why is our model so different?
A big part of our success resides in the
fact that Virmax works in a different way from the rest of
the players in the Colombian Coffee market.
The main differences are:
- We do not buy truckloads of coffee. We purchase all our
coffee in our own facilities directly from individual coffee
growers that are part of Coffee Grower Associations. Therefore,
we can provide our customers full traceability of the coffee
they are purchasing as well as being able to fully guarantee
the quality of our coffee
- We are the only coffee exporter in Colombia that is completely
transparent with regards to the financial details of each
transaction, both with our suppliers and with our customers.
This provides trust on behalf of the buyers and suppliers
- Because we are a relatively small company, our model is
based on the attention to detail. Therefore we are able
to supply a better and consistent product to our customers
from shipment to shipment
- We provide outstanding customer service, building personal
relationships with our customers that allow us to generate
a higher level of customer satisfaction and loyalty

- Our customers relate to the coffees and to the growers
that produce them on a more personal basis. A big
part of our marketing is focused towards "putting
a face" to our product, encouraging all our customers
to visit the coffee growers who produce the coffees
they buy so that the relationships can be strengthened
- We provide a marketing edge to our customers by
supplying not only high quality and consistent products,
but also precise and up to date information with regards
to the coffee growers, the regions where the coffee
is grown, and in general all that might be of interest
to the roaster's customers. In a nutshell, we help
our customers sell our coffees

- We have a highly qualified and experienced team
of cuppers and we continuously train coffee growers
from the different groups that we buy coffee from
so they to can learn about the quality of their coffee
and become as passionate as we are about coffee
- We believe that education to consumers and coffee
growers is crucial to the growth of the specialty
coffee industry. That is why we work hand in hand
with our customers and suppliers, providing them information,
and education and technical assistance to coffee growers
so that they can improve the quality of their coffe.
